Hey Folks,
I have friends who are wondering where their next meal is coming from and friends who have made literally MILLIONS of dollars, but all of my friends seem to have the same problem.
No Time, No Money.
Can you relate to that?
Almost EVERYONE can … and that includes my millionaire friends.
But …
The hard cold truth is that “No Time, No Money” is an excuse and if you want to be REALLY honest, it’s a LIE that we all tell ourselves.
Now before you start writing the angry letters … Let me explain.
I know that MOST people have struggles with time and money. Life is NOT easy and there is ALWAYS a shortage of time and money.
Do you think that Bill Gates believes that he has enough time and money to do all the things he wants to do?
Not likely. Try curing AIDS with a few billion and see how far it gets you.
But …
We all have SOME Time and almost all of us have SOME Money.
The question is, how do we spend it.
If you have $30,000.00 in credit card bills and only $100 per week to feed three kids, then maybe you spend your money on crackers and if you are Bill Gates, maybe you spend it curing AIDS.
Everyone has SOMETHING to invest in their life, because for as long as you are alive, you have at least 24 hours in a day to do SOMETHING.
I know people on this list that have chosen to spend their time and money taking care of family members to the point that almost every waking hour and every cent that they have is consumed in just the act of giving back to someone else. and I know people that spend their money and time following their dreams.
I can’t say how you should spend your time or your money. That’s entirely your choice. After all …
We Can’t Do Everything!
Heaven knows that I WANT to … Well not EVERYTHING … but more things that I can begin to imagine.
Isn’t life an adventure? Aren’t there countless adventures? People to meet, Dreams to pursue, Things to learn?
So …
We don’t get to do everything, but …
We Get To Choose How To Spend Our Life
When I was 20 years old, met a man in his 50s. He had been the successful editor of a magazine, but life took a few hard turns and he found himself divorced, separated by thousands of miles from his kids and without a job.
His teenage daughter lived with her mother and saw her father only for a week or two during the summer. She idealized him and compared him constantly to her mother who she was constantly at odds with. Finally in frustration with her mother and longing for a better life, she traveled across the country and decided to stay with her father.
As it turned out, the reality of living with her father just wasn’t what she expected and before long Dad didn’t seem so perfect.
Life with Dad was tough and finally out of desperation her father took a job working as the night desk clerk at a hotel to make ends meet. Despite putting in long hours of work in the wee hours of the morning, the low paying job still wasn’t enough to cover the growing bills and slowly the father got smaller and smaller in his daughters eyes.
To add insult to injury, the daughter’s boyfriend traveled across the country and slept on the living room couch, paying the father a few extra bucks here and there to help the father make ends meet, until the point that the daughter felt that her boyfriend was actually supporting the family and then one day …
The father came home with a new throw rug.
And the daughter didn’t understand.
How could her father go out and spend $20 on a new rug when her boyfriend was sleeping on the couch to help the family pay the bills?
Her father was in debt and going into the hole even deeper every day and yet he made the CHOICE to spend $20 of his money on a bright new shiny throw rug.
I understand that feeling …
It would be easy to condemn the father.
He had a family to support and yet he chose to spend money on something that could not possibly make their future more secure.
Was he wrong?
Maybe you know, but I’m very sure I’m not qualified to judge.
I know that life is made up of living, not security. If we do not live, we die and sometimes when we feel that we should be striving for security, we need to reach for life and dreams.
So we get to choose what we do.

Excellent post Ken.
We are all faced with many choices throughout our “busy” days.
These range from whether we should get up or hit the snooze button… to whether we should spend the money on food or that e-book or “throw rug” we want… to deciding to skip some leisure time and dedicate the weekend to finishing up a new product and roll it out so we can pay our bills.
I think many people feel they have no control at all over their day or life for that matter. The reality is we really do have the ability to make conscious choices about every single little aspect of our lives, down to the thoughts we think.
Ken, this looks like an incredible program. Thank you for continuing to create such honestly helpful and insightful material.
Onward & Upward!

Let’s be a little controversial here, Ken.
I’ll bet on a few things.
People who complain about business and lack of time are people who…
#1- could be missing out on their passion in life. In other words, they are doing something that is completely misaligned with their life. In other words, they missed reading your report and SORELY and DESPERATELY need to be part of those 18 people in your Impact class.
#2 – have never been stretched to their limits and therefore have limited experiences to leverage on. In other words, they need to have the opportunity for MORE experiences. Mm… seems like they need to be in the Impact class.
#3 – badly misrepresent one or two negative incidences in their lives before withdrawing from taking action. In other words, they haven’t had enough “bad” experiences to know that “bad” ain’t all that “Bad”. This one, they can’t just do from your Impact program. Instead, I think they need to go to JVAlert Live in Philadelphia.
Others reading this, read it again.
be your best,
Stuart
Very insightful post Ken and you’re right! There is a time to make a life changing decision and if your only excuse is time and money then your looking for a reason to stay in your comfort zone…
Although living paycheck to paycheck with the bills being more than your weekly pay doesn’t sound very comfortable to me…
Constantly fearing the unknown and letting other people’s doubts guide your success doesn’t sound very comfortable to me…
So in a nutshell… Action Is The Key To Success… Are You In Motion?
Once again, great post Ken!
I had plenty of time and no money while I was having surgery for my hernia back in October, but that time was well spent on growing my business – doubling my list and increasing my performance in joint ventures. Now that I am back to work, the time is tight, but I am making every minute count, because I sure want to be back in a position where I am in control of my life…
Why would I allow myself to be ruled by someone else? Neither my creditors nor my job can take away the one thing that makes me who I am – my dreams and goals. My challenge is only to bring them into focus, and the action will follow!
Have an amazing day!
Micheal
