Survey Results … What You Care About in 2008

Hey Folks,

This week I surveyed the members of The Impact Factor with a simple two question survey.

I’m firming up my next home study course, coaching program and events and I need to make sure that I give you EXACTLY what you want.

I asked people to be very specific and let me know what kind of information you would like me to GIVE you as I launch The Impact Factor book, home-study courses, coaching and events and I also wanted to know what you think MY greatest strengths are.

Rich Schefren says that we often do not know what other people REALLY think are our strengths and he says to ask, so I did.

I thought that you might be interested in the results because these results are relevant not just to me individually, but also to everyone who wants to make an impact.

By asking people to share their own dreams, you discover not only what information, products and services that people are looking for, but also the LANGUAGE that they are using to look for that information. That information is valuable. Of course, you can use that information to increase your search engine results or your advertising conversions, but you may also want to consider the language that you are using as you write your content and your sales copy.

Of course, this information helps me to see myself as other people see me and helps me to focus on what other people see as my strengths, but it’s also a great way to get people to tell you what things are important to them.

You see, when people talk about my greatest strengths, they are also telling me what THEY think is important in other people. If it wasn’t important to THEM they wouldn’t be mentioning it.

While I don’t live up to all of the wonderful things that YOU have told me are my greatest strengths, I can certainly TRY to cultivate as many of the above traits as possible in my actions during 2008. After all that’s what’s important to YOU this year.

I’d like to encourage you to ask YOUR audience what’s important to them in 2008. You may be surprised at what you hear.

      Ken, this is great info about what people are looking for. Now, a great follow-up question would be what are they willing to pay for that type of information in the formats they indicated they would like to receive it. :-)
